Sounds as if she just wants to have an "in-love" experience with some other man b/c she's convincing herself that her M is really over. I do believe she is running after the in-love "dream" and certainly not that creep of in OM.
It is not about what you feel should work in your M. It is about doing the work that gets the right results. Do what works!
