Congratulations, Orich on her decision to attend Retrouvaille. I think I saw on on another thread that you are worried about the cost. The cost varies from place to place, depending on the facilities. And most groups only ask for a percent of the cost as a deposit. They ask for a donation at the end to cover the costs, which are the accomodations and meals. The speakers are all volunteers. They will not exclude anyone due to inability to pay. You will need to make that initial deposit, whatever your group charges, but the donation at the end is discretionary. They ask you to give what you can afford.
I do have a thread somewhere in the Piecing forum which has a lot of info about Retrouvaille, so you might want to pull it up. You mention that you and your wife enjoy Church weekend retreats. My husband and I had never done a retreat before. We loved our Retrouvaille weekend. It was the single, best thing that we have ever done together. Although we are no longer having problems, I often think it would be so nice to go do a Retrouvaille weekend again.
