It has been super busy around here! Dan left Wednesday for Calgary so I have the kids by myself until next Tuesday...

I am in clean/organize mode! I made the kids help me clean the toy room/office. You couldn't even see the floor to walk through to get to the computer. Now it is all boxed/shelved/organized. It looks much bigger, too! We threw out a garbage bag full of happy meal toys, used coloring books, etc. And we sorted out some toys to sell in the yard sale. I said no more toys come in this house until some go out...

Also worked the HS basbeball game last night, tickets and concessions. We won and it was senior night, very nice. I got to spend the evening chatting with our HS Athletic Director. He is very cute and nice and married. So I don't flirt or anything, but it is still nice to have a normal friendly conversation with an adult of the opposite sex. When you have been separated but not out on the scene, it gets easy to forget what a normal fun conversation is like...

Anyway I am off to mow the yard in between thunderstorms. 90* heat + almost-daily showers = jungle grass!

Tomorrow is Nathan's karate graduation. He is very excited, I hope he passes!

On the Dan front I am going to hopefully finish packing up his stuff and taking it to the storage unit before he gets back. I already took all of my stuff out of the unit so it will be all Dan's and I will give him back my key to it.

Also going to pick up a change of address form. I won't fill it out I don't think it is my place but I will be giving it to him so he can change his bills out of my address. I shouldn't have to be in charge of getting him his bills each month...

I haven't spoken to him since he left Wednesday, he called and talked to the kids Wed. night but I had them hang up when they were done instead of talking to him. I was out last night and didn't talk to him, either. He called at noon from his canadian office and i picked up b/c I didn't know the area code...kept it short b/c the kids aren't here, he just wanted to know how we were. So I got off the phone and will not answer it again if the kids aren't here to talk to him.

That sounds great BBJ! You are holding those boundaries quite well it seems.

I have to do some mowing too. It hasn't rained much here (which is unusual for this time of year) but my grass is looking like a herd of sheep could be fat and happy on it!

Funny, a new sheriff is in my town also. H has until August 25th to convince me not to file. After that, I am gone. This time for good. He knows it and he knows I mean business.

Good day, 25 August. My son's birthday! (And my bday is 24 Aug)

Yep, I made it clear to Dan when he left on the trip that unless he took clear, real action to repair things, I was going to start distancing myself, for my own sake. So, that is what I am doing! Still not ready to file myself, but my moving the rest of him out of the house and putting up boundaries may piss him off enough to file, who knows?
