Oh Maria, I am so very sorry. I have no idea what it might mean that one of the nodes lost it's shape but it doesn't sound very good. I'm amazed that the doctors don't insist on telling your dad directly. It's good that they allow you and your family to handle it was you see best. Sometimes not knowing for certain can keep a good mental attitude in the patient.
