Anyone know why there's no reply or post button in my thread? All there is - is a notify button.

That means your thread became locked. You'll have to start a new one instead.

H and I have our MC appointment this afternoon. He asked if I wanted to have dinner afterwards and of course I said yes. My goal for the evening is to have a pleasant meal after our appointment, and to not let whatever is discussed in the session creep into our dinner conversation. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Needinghope,

When did your H begin his EA? Can you tell more about that or have you already and I missed it?

Sandi,

He began his affair in March 07 and I discovered it in October 07. They began writing back and forth again in March 2008 and I discovered the emails in October 2008. The emails were not romantic, mostly industry stuff. That made no difference to me though. Contact is contact. This past April, I found an email that he had sent that talked about missing her. She never replied.

H was sick yesterday, so we didn't get to go to the movies after our MC appointment. He asked if we could reschedule for tonight. We'll see what happens.

Our appointment was uneventful for the most part. Our C is certified in the Gottman method. We met yesterday to learn more about the method and the course of action we will be taking in therapy. Prior to the session, we had to fill out a very extensive questionnaire. We discussed the results of those, but no big surprises there. All in all, I'm feeling hopeful about this C. She is very thorough and proactive, and she has a way of drawing things to the surface with relative ease.

I'll keep you guys posted on how tonight goes.

Who else out there is separated but going to MC? At what point should you moved back in together? I'm not saying that moving back in together means that we are "fixed" but how far can you get in counseling while you are not living together? I would love to hear from you if you have any advice at all.

What do you want in your new marriage? How would you know you had it? What about for your husband?

Retain faith that you will prevail in the end, regardless of the difficulties and at the same time confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.
