@AlexEN: "Deeds." Indeed. Yes, telling the difference between a True and False deed is key. As Schnarch says: You don't have to believe it until you experience it.

But a panicky WAS could "come home" in a tizzy, afraid after being confronted by the real world s/he is creating. An action, yes. A (re)action, to be sure. But the action WAS would have chosen in her/his right mind? Maybe not. Maybe gut reaction. Maybe instinctive need to snuggle up to mama's breast and be calmed.

But less trustworthy, all else equal, than a Deed.

"I acknowledge what I did was wrong. I see now the error of my ways. I wasn't willing to do the Work."

Words.

"I acknowledge what I did was wrong. I see now the error of my ways. I wasn't willing to do the Work. I have started IC and have scheduled a sitter so we can go to Retrouvaille next month."

Deeds.

This, too, we know from consuming DB/DR. We are admonished not to talk about our changes, not to advertise them, not to call WAS's attention to them.

Instead, we are told to live them.

Deeds.

"Great acts are made up of small deeds," Lao Tzu.

"We live in deeds, not years," Aristotle.
