Yes, but it's not about HIM -- it's about YOU.

When you make it about them, it's pressure, and it's CONTROLLING. Ex.: "I forbid you to see OM."

When you make it about YOU, it's a BOUNDARY, and it's healthy. Ex.: "I cannot live in an open marriage."
