If I didn't know that she would eat me out of house and home, I would go nab the last one of the litter that the guy has. I also wouldn't mind a cat that liked to settle in your lap. I think however that just has to be in the personality, I don't think there is a breed that tends to be like that.
In the meantime I do have two sweet ferrets that do love to curl up in my lap and sleep. They just don't have a really long life span but that both have helped my kids through this mess, so they are keepers in my book.
