I took W to the ultrasound yesterday to get a nuchal translucency scan done. The baby was there complete will all limbs, spinal chord, ribs, 2 kidneys, stomach etc. The screen said that W is 14 weeks pregnant which is probably a week later than what she really is.
After that we got a blood test done and travelled into the city toegther. No talking, she had a nap and I didn't want to make any conversation. When I found her sat down after getting a coffee she was looking at the print-outs of the baby that we had been given. She said briefly "I can't believe I've got a baby inside me".
I intercepted an email to OM the other day saying that she was "heartbroken, betrayed and has been crying all day" because he's been dating another woman and that she "wants him more than she wants the baby. It's not the right time etc.". Horrible, disturbing reading.
She has been very silent and to be honest I have been avoiding her. I'm not being mean, cruel, disrespectful or anything but I have made no bids for her time, connection etc. I just can't get over what depravity she has stooped to. She is in the spare room, the wedding ring is off, but I am not wishing she was in bed with me, neither am I wishing that she would put the wedding ring back on.
