Make sure you "stroke" CPS b/c they often feel threatened and insecure around professionals who "outrank" them and if they get a chance, there are a few around who want to hurt doctors if they can. It's a long story but there is empirical evidence that some social workers are simply pre-disposed to findings of guilt or "substantiation" against men in authority. Show them the warm and fuzzy side we see.
Even after the McMartin trials (I urge those of you in relevant situations to research those cases) there are still social workers who trust EVERY WORD a kid says and have no idea that they can be misled or coached. I've shown this in court where I have proved a kid to be "mistaken" about his imaginary friend who was with a pink mouse but that kid had been believed at the first trial about an event occuring 18 months earlier & "blurted out voluntarily" to my client's EX mil....(sure...sure he did.)
Enough. You say your L is not too concerned and you trust her so that bodes well about the judge IF your take on the L is a good one.
