Thanks, Jon. It does suck! But, like I said, I have decided not to be sad!

It turns out that she is only taking three of the six patio chairs. That would be half! The ones that are in the garage, in the driveway, and in the middle of the back yard are not going.

I have to say, the dining room looks a little spacious without a table....

Hey Jeff.. I missed all the action, wow, you live in teh desert and were considering under floor heating!?? That made me laugh, all the way from cold rainy england.

Sounds like you handled the move well.. I lknow she had already warned you she was going, but did you speak at all as she moved out? Did she say 'goodbye' ? The patio furniture lady sounded a little uptight.. to nag you about how fast you ate on a first date !? But wow, look at you taking ladies to lunch, I'm mightily impressed. Hugs to you,

Al xxx

Just found this thread Jeff. Had been following your old one and hadn`t realised it was locked.

Congrats on surviving the big divide. So glad your kids seem to be taking it well-and lovely to read about your 11 year old`s success in school.

I think my dread of the the big Move Out day is one thing that puts me off separating. Your move went very smoothly.

(((((SMW))))) There's a thought! Hmmmm....

(((((Ali))))) She moved during the day, while I wasn't here. She did call yesterday evening to apologize for leaving the garage a mess. They had not been able to get as much out in the last load as they had hoped, and the garage ended up cluttered with it. She said she would get to is as soon as she can. It's not a big deal.

At the time that I was looking at underfloor heat we had just gotten here after living almost 5 years in England and Germany! I think my feet were still thawing out! smile

(((((Fallgirl))))) Someone didn't update his signature last time he started a thread, did he?! So much of this has gone so much better than I ever thought it would.... Telling the kids, the actual moving.... I think it is becoming clear that this was the best thing for everyone.

I talked to another woman on the phone last night... I think I made a good impression! I am starting to believe that I am not a loser! (OK, I never thought that, but you know what I mean!) I'm going to meet her Sunday for lunch. I wasn't too impressed with her photo, so I'm hoping it was a case where the real thing is an improvement on the pic! I know there are plenty of those about! Besides, I'm trying not to be shallow!

I get the kids Friday after work. I'll be taking them to Phoenix Saturday, we'll find something fun to do. We'll spend the night, then I drop them off at the airport for a 7:30 am flight to see their cousins. Drive back to Tucson, and meet a lady! Busy weekend, I guess!

WOW JEFF!!! You are a dating machine buddy! Just kidding of course...you deserve to have some fun and companionship. I'm quite pleased for you!

Something fun to do in Phoenix Saturday? I guess the dbacks are out of town. It's crazy hot so climbing Piestewa Peak is probably out. Hmmm...other ideas....

The Arboretum
Rawhide Western Town and Steakhouse
Drive the Apache Trail
Horseback riding at South Mountain Park

Can't think of anything else at the moment

The zoo is nice, and the kids have requested Castles and Coasters. Of course it is going to be hot, so all of these outside things have a downside!

I saw your pic in the alt. Is that the Castles and Coasters place you were talking about?
