The kids want to make this for their Dad on Father's Day morning:
Breakfast Casserole (Needs to be prepared the night before)
21/2 cups seasoned croutons 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 2 lbs of sausage (I use Jimmy Dean Original, but any kind will work okay.) 4 eggs 3/4 teaspoon mustard 2 1/2 cups milk
1 can mushroom soup 1/2 cup milk
Place croutons in greased or sprayed 9 X13 pan, sprinkle cheese on top. Fry and drain sausage and place on top of above. Beat eggs, mustard, and 2 1/2 cups milk and pour over the croutons, cheese, and sausage. Cover with foil and place in refrigerator overnight.
In the morning, mix mushroom soup and 1/2 cup milk and pour over top of casserole.
Bake 1 1/2 hour at 300 degrees.
The breakfast casserole we have been making for 'special occasions' since before Nathan was born...I never post recipes so I thought I would just for the fun of it...
