A) "I Can See Clearly Now," Jimmy Cliff B) "So Sad About Us," The Jam (covering The Who) C) "Ripple," Grateful Dead D) "Casual Conversations," Supertramp E) "Consider Me Gone," Sting [most recent addition]
Why this is your theme song
A) The theme song that made it happen for me -- the rain was gone (literally), and when that happened (in Big Midwestern City) I could suddenly see the road ahead.
B) I like The Jam's version because to my ears it does a better job than The Who's original version of capturing the resignation in the lyrics, and it was important for me to feel resigned to my sitch in order to move forward.
C) Quiet, reflection, "that path is for your steps alone" -- almost Buddhist in the sense of going with the flow (see B).
D) A brave song that essentially says "I'm done" with all this nonsense -- it's boring now, so I'll move ahead on my own.
E) "Consider me gone" -- hey WAW, you want to leave, that's okay, but don't look back because you won't see me standing there.
At which stage of your process was A or B more important.
"So Sad About Us" -- the start, because it was lamenting the loss
"I Can See Clearly Now" -- the start of the end, because it's all about Fresh Eyes and Seeing Anew
"Consider Me Gone" -- today, tomorrow, and always (?), because it says I am on a Mission For Me -- full stop.
