Sent wife a response email thanking her and saying that I would take the laptop if she wanted to give it to me, and that it wouldn't go unused. Asked her to let me know when she wanted to pick up her stuff. Sent it with return receipt so I would see when/if she read it, which she did.
No response.

Turns out I DID get an email response this past Thursday, and the response seems to explain the delay in her writing back- in that she needed to confirm with her parents.
"My parents and I will come in the early afternoon of Sat. June 20."
She would rather drag her 70-year-old parents 3 1/2 hours down the road to our place to move a cat tree 30 more minutes down the road to her apartment, than ask for my help.
It is what it is.
I am seriously considering just leaving her stuff out on the front stoop and making myself scarce that day.

JIMBO, That's just EXACTLY what I would do. If you hang around, it will serve no purpose, she has already said that she would have her parents there, leave it all sitting there and get out of town for a couple of days.
I'm dealing with the same stuff tomorrow. I am leaving it in the driveway for her.(It's a couple of big items) Then I am going out to eat, so I won't be around.
If this is how she wants to go about it, she has help, so would take off. My ex isn't even coming, her father is.
Kind of funny how they both asked their parents.....sort of teenagesk.

I guess they know that they can't do it themselves, and they don't have the cojones to ask the OM to come over and help them.
Ah....control issues......
I'm just worried about my FIL's knees- He's arthritic, and powered almost exclusively on sheer grit and Tylenol. I guess I can move it down the stairs outside my house and place it next to the parking area to make it easier on him.
I think I'll put a sign on it, too.
Saturday is garbage day.

Trapt, I'm just a bit more on the blunt side than you like, give it a little more time and you will be suprised how much more you agree with me on things........
JIMBO, Its admirable you are concerned about your FIL, but now is the time to protect yourself. If your W or XW cared about him, she would have made other arrangements.
