Yes, Learned Optimism was great.

So are:

1) The Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathan Haidt
2) The Art of Happiness - Dalai Lama
3) Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

So much fun to read.

"Passionate Marriage", Schnarch

The best book on relationships and intimacy I've read.

When Love Hurts by Stosny. This is the best one I have read...it was recommended to me here by Bridgestone. It's about compassion, not only for others...but for yourself. It was a real eye-opener for me.

I read "Peaks and Valleys" yesterday.

It is amazing how closely the messages in this parable mirror the advice given in this forum:

- Find the good in a bad situation. Use it to learn and grow

- Get outside of yourself - meet new people and do new things (GAL)

- Do the opposite of what got you into the bad situation (180's)

- Build a vision and start acting on it (act as if)

- The valleys in your life are your fears. Face your fears.

- Turn your valleys into peaks (PMA)

It should probably be required reading for us all.

Yeah, I liked that one, Peaks and Valleys. Still irritated about the price, though. wink

It's still cheaper than the price I paid for "Oh the places you'll go" - which is even shorter. wink

A new one - recommended to me by @Coach:

Crucial Confrontations Crucial Confrontations

This is an excellent book on the way to confront someone who has disappointed you - setting and maintaining boundaries.

A short "Cliff Notes" version can be downloaded here - also pretty useful:
