Sitting here in the airport ruminating over the last R discussion. During the discussion itself I was focused on points like her fathers death and her fear of D, and ignored the points I had heard before. If, however, I put some of those points together ("I'm not attracted to you", "you don't bring out the best in me", and "I wish we could separate") I realize that what she is saying is "I wish I had permission to openly go out and look for someone else.
It hurts!!
I guess that's where the "stockdale paradox" and the "spiers doctrine"
Ok, time to end these non-productive thoughts!
