Well, all went as well as could be expected with our talk w/D18. Some crying, some embarrassment, some understanding, some "feeling lost."

However, I know for sure she's MY D18 now... LOL Because she woke up with a vengeance. Completed the Junior College application, went to a 1 1/2 hour college planning session, went and got her transcripts from her high school, went to a meeting w/an advisor/counselor, applied for three jobs, then worked three hours at the MD's office she helps at once in awhile.

So, (Nice Mom MB), allowed her to have the boyfriend over last night... even though she's grounded! smile

H was superb during the talk w/D18. He let me handle most of it, but if she started to get a little too emotional, or started to talk back to me, he stepped in and helped her understand. After we were done, she came back in our room a few times (while H was in the shower), asking for him to come to her room when he was done, as she wanted to ask him something.

She wanted to know if it was doable to get an apartment w/some friends, based on xx number of hours a work per week, and xx number of hours of school per week. So, he gave her an idea... (I'm pretty sure this was what was behind the idea to wake up with a vengeance!)

AND, we got EIU to hold her application and registration/housing fees until next Fall season. She's not dropped, she's on hold.

Yea!
