I'll be fine. I know that somewhere deep inside. I've survived some pretty hellacious things in my life and this is not going to be my undoing. I already know I'm in a much better place emotionally because I've been forced to deal with a lot of buried pain. That doesn't mean I'm done dealing with it and probably never will fully be done. It just means I can compartmentalize it a little better and not let it overwhelm me.
Gabe sent me a text this morning asking me how the brakes on my car were and when he could replace them for me and how the leak in the garage is. I swear....AOS......ridiculous!

The broom is upset with me and is about to toss me out again. Do you think there is anyway you could a help brother out again?? In exchange I'll fix the brakes on your car..(no labor charges) but you'll have to buy the parts (cause I don't have money).....and while I'm at it I'll attempt to fix the leak in the garage...if I can;t fix the leak I'll at least be there to empty the water out of the bucket that I put under the leak!!

He had heard the squealing brakes on my car when he had moved in for that week and offered to fix them for me if I got the parts. I haven't had the money to get them and then figured the offer was only while he was there anyway. Cracks me up though that he seems all concerned about it. Whatever. The leak in the garage is coming up through the floor. The landlord (thank God I don't have to fix it!) came and checked it out and it's a groundwater leak. They have to dig a new drainage for it and that's all I know.
I'm happy to let him fix the brakes for me to save the labor cost, but there's no way he's getting back in my house. Not going to happen. He already used that opportunity up.

and while I'm at it..I'll fix that water leak that's seeping up through the floor in the garage..no need to call the landlord...I been working out, "see my abs?" so I'll just jackhammer and shovel all that stuff up (provided you rent the jack hammer and shovels because as your well aware I spent the last $10 you gave me feeding the broom takeout from Mickey D's)
You guys are cracking me up here! AOS-men aren't all bad. I got a ceiling fan installed tonight free of charge... Not that I offered to pay anything, I didn't ask him to do it!
Mish I am working through the Boundaries book. Although re. the marriage, a lot of it is stuff I should have done before that doesn't really pertain now that he moved out. Oh well. It will help with other people in my life. I actually said "NO" when I got a call asking me to work the baseball game (ticket taker) tomorrow night. I knew I didn't have time so instead of trying to cram it in, I just said 'No.' And guess what? Nobody died!!
