The little girls leave clothes all over their rooms and rather than put them up when they decide not to wear them, they end up in the wash. I am so tired of washing clean clothes!
When my s was very little I instituted a rule that any clothes in the hamper would get washed, but that I would not pick up laundry from bedroom floors. It applied equally to S and H. When either would complain they had nothing to wear I would act shocked and say, I don't know how that could be the hamper is empty and I finished all the laundry.
S had his own laundry basket and would frequently live out of the basket rather than put it away. I refused to rewash clean clothes. If a rewash was necessary, S knew where the washer was.
