D9 now has an emergency appointment with her C for tomorrow. I need to let DH know, as he has duty Thursday and was going to miss that appointment.

The C is very concerned about her not taking her meds--it is something that D9 can control while everything else is out of her control--and was hyper concerned about the boxcutter. We did the walkthrough of potential issues for suicide prevention--guns (completely out of the house), box cutters put up, kitchen knives monitored, etc. I NEVER thought I would be going through this with one of my kids and certainly not one that is only 9 years old!! C said to keep her in eyesight as much as possible until we get in there tomorrow--let her sleep with me if I have to. Asked if I felt that I could keep her monitored or did we need to consider admitting her for monitoring. I am confident in that i can keep her well-monitored. The only thing I am dreading is discussing this with DH this evening. I fear he is going to think I am overreacting, but oh well. I would rather be safe than ending up in the emergency room with a suicidal child that I dismissed warning signs on.

Living God's blessings with grace and dignity~
