In other words, "mayhaps you are too young and too female" was not about you being too dumb 'cause yer a chik 'n' all, but to the fact that Smiley's Person is an Old Fart!

I'm old enough to have read Hunter S. Thompson, just never did...

Fair enough. But again, I think on average there's a male/female split there. I spent a lot of years in the HST Fan-boy world and believe me it's mostly Fan-boys.

btw, without putting too fine a point on it, is aliveandkicking basically center, right, or left politically and does she know who Jonah Goldberg is? (There's a reason I ask.)

Weird night. Weird dreams. Weird monologue in my head this morning. Weird response to photo H emailed of himself this morning. Not my man...

Weird.

But have you turned pro?

And my query re: politics relates to the drinking of coffee.

I'm a fan-girl. HST always sounded best to me on many a raft trip I used to take with my buddies... and someone would read HST to the group as we relaxed by the campfire. Good stuff!

I'd have to pick left. But, I'm flexible on some social issues. Ironically, I have some more conservative "values" but I'm a hippy at heart. I've heard of and seen Jonah Goldberg but not too familiar...super conservative, no?

I actually feel like I'm sort of trying to past some intellectual prowess test here, or am I just being paranoid? It's just coffee... wink

On the bigger issue of this thread...MY LIFE...I feel as if I am floating in slime today.

Alone-ness. I'm feeling it. Ok, but stark. Nearly 14 years of being 1/2 of H & W. Today 3/4 of a whole sovereign individual...yep, time to summon that other 1/4.

Seriously, this is a different experience. Not sure what to do with it. Forward.

It's just that this might be interesting to you given some of the conversations we've had off-topic from DB'ing or marriage and so forth (http://tinyurl.com/p6htm9). Like a bread crumb or something.
