Work was good today, continue working on my projects and leading meetings smile

Came home and ordered pizza for me and the kids plus S15 girlfriend. Then S15 & gf left to walk to her dad's house and S13 had a friend come over to hang out. I went a long walk and even saw some deer tonight smile

Now, S13 and I are going to play monopoly after he finishes his chores. Hope everyone has a good weekend! Its very nice here today, even the sun came out.

S13's game was canceled this morning as the other team did not have enough players. So, while he practice with his team my parents and I went out for breakfast. Then came home and fed the kids, then did some bills. Next, went on a bike ride while kids played with their friends. W did come by to get S13 to help her deliver some flowers. In the late afternoon went out to the boats (gambling) with some friends and had dinner, didn't win anything but had a good time. Kids went to dinner and movies with MIL and then they will sleep by my parents tonight.

S13 got to play tonight, they won 9-7 and even though he did not have a hit he still had fun. Did have a sacrifice bunt which lead to a run later in the inning. No W at the game, she has not made it to a game since May 2.

This morning I walked to and from church (the kids were at my parents) as it was so nice today. Then a friend of mine's college aged daughter came over as she just got a job selling knives and needed to practice her selling skills. It worked as I bought a couple of knives. I already knew about the product and have some already so it was not difficult for her to convince me.

Tomorrow morning I have dentist appointment then off to work.

Hope your dentist appointment goes well.

It sounds like you are staying busy and doing the best you can. How are you feeling? Penton, do you have any dreams....for example, go on an African Safari? Ride in a hot air balloon? lay on a black sand beach in Fiji? Participate in a triatheletic event? Or???

Just curious.... Your life, it seems to me, could use just a little more excitement... maybe I'm wrong, but it just seems like you are in a holding pattern.(?)

Dentist appt not bad, have to go back tomorrow to get a filling fixed.

I maybe in a holding pattern, however, I am happy taking care of my family. I always wanted to be a husband and father and at least I still am a full-time dad cool
Right now I don't have big dreams but have been thinking more about what I would like to do now that the kids are getting older. Yesterday, I started a challenge for myself to read the Bible in 90 days...never read it before and I'm looking forward to learning more from this.
My life may not seem exciting, but I love going to my kids games and school events, exercising which I am doing daily and just doing things around the house makes me happy, especially baking. When my W was home we used to talk about the trips we wanted to take after the kids left the house...I'll have to think more about this and talk with my IC to help me bring out things I may want to do...thanks runningoutoftime for checking in on me smile

BTW: work has been really busy and fun, I actually like going to the office nowadays, I know that may sound strange to some...

I think it's wonderful for that you are happy and content with your life. I know you miss your W and have strong feelings for her, but it seems like you have found peace and contentment with what you have and that's what most people need to strive for (even in general within their lives) so you are ahead.

Are the boys getting used to the routine? I think your emotional strength probably helps them enormously. It's definitely great role modeling for how to deal with difficult times.

I recently realized that I still WANT my W back home (as I miss her very much and still love her) but I do not NEED my W, and my IC thinks that is great. When the bomb first dropped I was not sure how to go on without her but I have found a way and think I am doing well. I have my moments and I pray for strength everyday as I still pray for W.

The kids: S15 is doing ok, he is still mad but he is used to our arrangement. S13 is not doing as well, he missing his mom very much and even his grades have dropped off, so, W & I have a meeting on Monday with his teachers to discuss the end of this year and how to handle next year. Its a little sad as I realize this means W is planning on staying away from "home" next school year frown

Yes, most times I am at peace and sometimes wonder if I should feel this good...kind of feel guilty for not being more miserable but then realize that I did not cause this situation...not sure how to explain this???

Today, was a good day at work. Then went out to dinner with a friend and had a good time. Came home and the kids had ordered pizza (their mom was too busy to feed them dinner) and I helped them clean up after they ate. Then I went on a walk and listened to the Sox lose frown

Now, S15 is at a friend's house and they built a fire and S13 is playing XBOX until bed time as he has a game tomorrow morning.

Well, S13's team won today 7-6 (they had a 7-2 until the last inning but held on for the win). Then we went out for lunch and next I'll go bike riding. S15 is out with friends playing softball and S13 is chilling on XBOX as he has a cold and is tired.

Tonight, after church, the kids went by their friends houses, so I took a walk to my brother's house. He had some friends over for pizza/drinks and a movie. We watched "Australia" with Nicole Kidman...it was long but nice to hang out for a while.
