all very agreeable and true. I guess I am just waiting to see what he has up his sleeve next. But the good news is that I am being proactive. With a little nudging and guidance from my sister, I called my landlord today to see what H told her about the lease. H told me that he talked to her and told her we were not going to renew the lease...which was not entirely accurate. He left her a message saying that. She never actually talked to him and apparantly he doesn't know that our lease is actually up August 1st instead of July first. PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is such a relief for me. I was thinking I was coming under the gun as far as moving. Then she told me her husband was just laid off and that we could talk about going month to month after that. Still can't afford this place though. Do you think landlords are open to renegotiating as far as price goes for rent. If I asked her to lower the rent, maybe I could stay here. That would be FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Things are looking up!
Yes, you must give it a shot with the landlord! You never know. It is a pain to get new tenants and maybe she will work something out with you. Yay. If not, you've got a bit more time.
