Kids are off of school now. LAZY week, with just a few activities besides SOCCER... (Try-outs this week for next season (starting in August)
D18 is working on getting a summer job. Waiting on her grades to arrive... That will determine whether she's going to the university in southern IL, or the local community college. We're hoping for the best, as she's outgrowing the nest, but not quite there (responsibility-wise) to invest $20k per year in yet, without proof of potential for success. (talk about a run-on sentence!)
Tonight it's GAL time for me! It's one of my closest friends bdays. I'm looking forward to some friend time.
H was home last night (gets home once during the work week), and met us prior to a soccer game for dinner, then went to the game, came home and stayed until 11:30 (had to go back to work). It's funny... When he comes back in town, initially, he's a bit distant, but warms up as time progresses. I thought about it later... He's like this in almost every aspect of life. It takes him a bit to open up, feel comfortable. Just an observation.
We talked about the vacation package I bought for his birthday. We agreed that I would schedule it today (for mid-July). Seems like he's looking forward to going.
