So rent a movie (may I suggest "Band of Brothers"), get a bottle of wine and hang out by yourself and grieve a bit

OMG that's so gay! LOL "Band of Brothers" clearly demands whisky.

My own movie recommendation for times such as these is "The Razor's Edge" (the Bill Murray version -- the Tyrone Power version is pretty dated).
