I never said he should not be put in the hall of fame. The hall of fame already has its share of boozers, womanizers, racists and a$$holes. But those guys were all great players and belong there based on their play on the field. Pete is indeed one of the best players ever (Willie Mays was the best IMHO). He should also be inducted based upon his play on the field regardless of him being an a$$hole tax evading gambler.
If OJ can be in the football hall of fame, Pete Rose can be in the baseball hall of fame.
