You have shown grace and courage through this. As long as you go with your head and heart you will not go wrong.
You know you're justified (biblically), you know that your kids will ultimately be fine (because you are a loving supportive mother who thinks of them first and foremost), and you know that you will go on to a new chapter of your life with no regrets for what you think you could have done.
