John, I will make sure to figure out his LLs, and 'speak' them to him. Whoever he may be. Wow he will be a lucky guy...

OK I am pissed at my husband today.

Because I had to google "how to wear a cup" for my son's karate tonight. I told Dan a week ago, when we got it, to be sure he showed Nathan how/where/what to wear the cup under his uniform. Of course he didn't.

I grew up with two sisters. Never a cup in our house! So I am googling with/without underwear, penis pointed up/down, etc etc.

And I feel like a dumbass that I don't just KNOW these things. Dan knows this stuff. But I am not going to call and ask. Grr.

Oh yes, the counselor said Saturday that we MUST start filling out a schedule for visits, that it is too flexible at this point for the kids plus Dan has all the freedom and none of the accountability for parenting. (Ya think??)

Apparently Nathan already knows the schedule though. I said something to him about his dad picking him up tomorrow (I don't know yet but i am going to ask him to b/c I have work to catch up on for night class final project). Anyway Nathan said, "Dad can't pick me up tomorrow. That isn't our schedule. Dad is Wednesdays ONLY." \:\(

OK done crabbing....

Glad to amuse y'all!

It was pretty obvious which way the cup went and how it fit into the pocket on the strap. I just didn't know if you wore underwear with it, etc. Nathan wanted to just wear it by itself. Kept punching it with his fist, very impressed that it didn't hurt with the cup on... \:D

So all's well that ends well. He is really enjoying sparring in karate, I may have to start taking classes as it looks pretty fun!

Just wait until he gets into the higher belts and the sparring gets serious! I used to cringe, now I root the other people on while they're basically beating the tar out of my son. He's gotten so good at blocking that they hardly ever get him anymore. Of course, it's another story when he ends up sparring an instructor. \:\)

Funny that Nathan already "knows" the schedule. There is some flexibility that is needed, of course, but there should be a general schedule that Dan sticks to. Parenting is not an "optional" exercise.

that's just something that I never thought about...Makes sense that a mom might have trouble figuring that out for her son..

hang in there and glad you figured it all out..

Yeah, we don't come equipped to handle those things. I'm stressing about teaching Marc to shave. I can't imagine that shaving your face is quite the same as shaving your legs. A little more delicate I would think.

Look, I can understand, as I am STILL trying to potty train a 3.5 year old boy! He absolutely refuses to use the potty. It would be a lot easier if someone could CONSISTENTLY work with him about how boys pee. We won't even get into the other bodily functions! Of course, the fact that S3 determined during the deployment that he would potty train "when daddy gets home" may or may not be influencing that. Who knows. All I know is I am getting really tired of changing these diapers!

Funny cup story for you, BobbiJo. My niece (almost 6) is playing t-ball and they are making the girls wear cups, too. Her mother was so annoyed by it she kept saying she was going to buy her daughter a cup that Michael Strahan could wear \:D Could you imagine????
