You have nothing to justify. Afterall, this is all about you and her. I totally understand. None of us are here to judge. Just to be supportive. Love should be able to endure all things. You have learned a lot about love, respect and trust through your ordeal. You have learned to set you standards and figured out what you need and want. Now you can help her do the same if she is truly willing.
