Well, hopefully I don't have to work all that weekend at my retail job. Since I am taking the month prior off on leave, it's a bit sticky to ask for yet more time off. Ugh. We will have to meet up though!

We will have to meet up, if I have to come in and buy a shirt!

Well, now I've done it! I've registered for the golf school, gave them my credit card number and everything. So, I guess I'm committed! Now I need to piece together planes, trains, automobiles, and rooms! And try not to go broke in the process!

No turning back!

I've booked a flight to SAC, and flight from Denver, and a train between the two, and a hotel in SAC, so far.

I'll get to Sacramento around 11 am on June 26, probably hang out in the Old Sacremento area that afternoon. What I do the next day is undecided, I haven't even decided whether to get a car or not. Rafting is still possible, there's also a place called Railtown about 2 hours away that is supposed to be pretty good. Of course, I'd need a car for that. Or a ride! The advantage of not getting a car is I don't have to get it back to the airport!

So, things are coming together!

It all sounds like a really fun adventure, Jeff. I need golf school, too. But I am starting from scratch as I have only golfed about a dozen times, ever. Need to find a way to practice without annoying the other golfers on the course! \:\)

Wish I was near your route, I would join in on the rafting or dinner or something. Oh well.

BTW, I agree with your W on one thing. I enjoyed piecing my first quilt, but I hate the actual quilting/binding part! Guess at heart I am a sewer, not a quilter!

I looked at taking the train the rest of the way to Omaha! But, I just couldn't make it make sense!

If you come here in the summer, there's plenty of golfing where you won't disturb anyone! As long as you can take a little "dry heat"!

What's amazed me so far is that I somehow got all the long distance transportation in for $302! I didn't think there was any way that would happen. The hotel in Denver is going to hurt a bit, though! Unless I go really "budget". But I don't know if I can bring myself to do that!

I can't imagine hand-quilting a quilt. And to do it by machine, you really need the special machine for it, at which point you decide to pay someone that already has the machine to do it! I need to take some pics before she takes the quilts down, and put them on the alt!

I'm excited about the trip.... I'm going to spend too much, though I am trying to keep it under control. But it has been a long time since I thought about me! So, it's a tradeoff!

Went to the doc today, just a routine follow-up, since I am now considered "diabetic", and still have higher cholesterol than I should. The bad news is that I am a stress eater.... so, I've gained back most of the weight I lost. The good news is that the blood sugar and cholesterol were still under control. I guess I am eating too much, but at least it is more of the right stuff! And I even understand why. So, hopefully I can loose it again pretty quickly. The doc said the AD could be contributing, too. I hope that when this is all done, I can get along without that, too.

The last time I talked to W she said she wanted to have the interior of her new house painted before she moved in. Previously she had said she would paint while they were there. So, it looks like her actual move-out data could be more July-ish than June-ish. We'll see!

Well, as it gets closer, I will definitely let you know my work schedule!

We will figure things out!

W doesn't seem to be in a hurry to actually be out on her own does she?

What is stressing you out that you are eating more again?
