Had fun working the benefit last night. It was fun. I helped with getting stuff on/off the stage and the curtains and whatever I could. A couple friends just attending were like (we saw you taking the mike off) like I had done something amazing. Funny! Got to see all my friends, the one guy I was helping, said his other friend had told him some stories about me, and I said like what, and he said I made a mess when I was painting the first time there. I'm betting he's heard stories about H and OW maybe too? Oh, well, life'll get more normal soon.
H came to pick up the kids early yesterday at 6:30 (I had told him I had to work 6:30 on). I was running late b/c D9 took forever to get out of her art club. She had cut up like a 100 pieces of little paper into different shapes, and I said no way we don't need that with moving this week, and she said no, I want to take them to dad's so I said, ok, great idea!
I felt friendly but detached today and didn't avoid H. When I picked up the kids, I pulled up next to him. I didn't really chat, but was chatting to the kids more in a friendly way asking them how they were. H had to check out the car again (some of the front body work is messed up a bit, I don't think it's ever been completely the same since the tree did the $8,000+ damage to it. Then he told me S15's eval has been changed from 9:15 to 9:30 already set up by H and the tester on Friday. Again she didn't tell me any of that, and it was nice of H to tell me. I guess. I was slightly stunned to see him. He's still got the beard and just looked I don't know what. He looked me in the eyes and didn't act weird today so that was good. I still don't plan on being friends with him ever again, but that's almost work for me so I don't know...
I found some boxes (free) at goodwill on the advice of one of my friends that works there. And am going to pack and start driving some stuff over to the new house. I wanted to make sure all the lights and a/c aren't on b/c the electric is on. Hope everyone's having a good weekend!!! Feel free to post some y'all as I am missing you.
