DIVORCED AND CONFUSED

My ex-w kept her maiden name. It really never bothered me, and she never corrected anyone who referred to her with my last name. She felt at the time she should keep her name for the sake of her daughter (who I later adopted), who was in 8th grade at the time we married. Every now and then I wonder if she had it planned all along that she would leave once her daughter was out of the house and college was paid for. I doubt seriously that was her MO, but I do wonder sometimes and others have also pointed that out.
