Portland is right though...if you have kids I will guarantee that at some time in their life (9-13) they will think having a monkey is the best idea in the world.
My Dad had a monkey as a pet when he was growing up in Brasil. He said it was the most disgusting animal you could imagine, masturbating when he saw a female (person) or trying to hump her face if he got an opportunity, throwing feces when he wasn't getting attention, screeching and chattering, just generally obnoxious.
