I haven't gotten the results yet. The evaluator just said several times how much she enjoyed working with D9, she's a sweetie and she enjoys everything pretty much. She did say she was glad they did the complete testing, b/c her results were very variable or something like that--I think meaning she's all over the place with strengths and weaknesses. When S15 got tested at 6 or 7, I know he had the same; I think maybe some gifted and ld combo, he had 5s to 15s on his scores last time. Supposedly she tester said she talked to H it sounded like encouraging him to do the whole testing to get a complete picture, and maybe not making it sound like it was just something I wanted (which was very clever b/c then he prob. wouldn't agree to it!)
I got asked to work the benefit the theatre's having tomorrow. The guy throwing it, a friend of mine I've done the ghost tour with a couple times, told me just to come over for a little bit tonight and find out what's going on--and I just got home 5 hours later!!! But it was a blast--I got to see most of the acts tonight and it was so much fun. Some great singers and guys in drag and so funny. Some of the women and I were playing groupies and dancing in front of the stage. I'm going to help with the sound which I've never done before, but I guess I'll learn hopefully tomorrow. One of the dancing groups their teacher gave me a card for taking beginning dance--fox trot, cha cha, and all the stuff I've never learned. So if I get some free time, I'm thinking about doing that maybe...
My boss told me today, the temp job, he wants to end it in 2 or 3 weeks, b/c he just does advertising the first 5 months of the year, b/c his profits go way down starting next month. I got another call for an interview at the local community college, I'll call back tomorrow (I was getting gas and it went to vm) and hopefully that'll be next week. I feel oddly confident things will work out tho I should prob. be in a panic right now. But I've got the benefit tomorrow and packing the next few days. I've applied to a couple more jobs this week, and didn't count my chickens for the interview last week. BTW, I met the personnel director at the community college last week at the cast party (was at her house) and she said the guy I interviewed with is nutty, I told her well I did think he was a little eccentric, but the job sounded very interesting. He said he would call by tomorrow and if I don't hear, I didn't get the job, but I'm ok with that. Karen
