the xw is alot colder since last weekend. the exchange this week was particularly frigid. anyhow, i am not jumping to conclusions but oddly enough the new girlfriend may have something to do with her mood. strange if that is the case. anyhow, unseasonably warm for my first golf game of the season and off to a BBQ at my buddy's house with D8.
XW and I now communicate by e-mail or text messaging. D8 exchanges are very short....Having other interests really soften the blow. A year ago, I would have spent the better part of a week thinking about and writing about this here. Today, it is really just journaling and none of it sticks. So time heals all wounds and another interest may be the balm neccesary to bring the skin back to normal. Had a great weekend as I was able to spend quality time with D8, GF and her daughter who is 11 and also snuck in my weekend golf game. LJ saw some late action Saturday night / Sunday morning which I will blame for my bad front nine (44 / 37 = 81). Oh yes the daughters got along great and I spent 3hrs. with them playing baseball while GF was in a meeting....next weekend they already have a day at the stables planned.....giddy yap!
This thread was started at the end of March and I think we can safely say that "The angry phase" is gone. Good to hear that the girls get along well. Hopefully, your STBXW wont try to meddle in your new relationship.
Kerry, angry phase is gone and there will be no meddling. I will not allow myself to get dragged into any negative stuff. For the time being other than the communication differences (text messaging and e-mail), there are no noticeable differences. Honestly, I do not anticipate any.
Mike, nothing like a little "action" to put a bad front nine into perspective!
BBJ, D8 pretty much gets along well with everyone. I guess she got that from the old man.
Bon appetit mon ami.....I think they jsut opened up a hooters up here. But I have visited the establishment you mention above in the good old US of A in the past. Not a huge fan of the food but the scenery and beer sure make up for it....
