Well, some of this is temporary. I didn't think today's tour/ghost thing was a good idea, but as usual, I had a great time and was fun. I love the guys I do it with, they're the biggest gossips, always fun. One of them was saying someone had told them H looks really rough. He has the scraggly beard and I guess other people have noticed. H walked past with D9 on his way to something, and I didn't see him, my back to him, but the others said yeah, his beard needs trimming, and he's walking all stooped over.
One friend is also friends with someone that works with H and where OW worked for several years. He told my friend that OW's rep at their office is that she sleeps with everything in pants or something like that. Lovely. They were also saying they think H is going to lose his job at some point with the bankruptcy, foreclosure, and other stuff. I think they think he's kind of nutty or something. Oh, well.
Gotta go get ready to the play. Only 2 more times! I'm going to miss the people, but good to have more time! Hope everyone's weekend's good. I'll check on everyone later! Karen
I finished the play today. It was sad, but I know I'll do more, and I need to have time to do other things! They had a cast party after we struck the set and I almost didn't go. H picked up the kids tonight (he said b/c of the party and show, but really b/c I think he thought I wouldn't take D9 to get evaluated tomorrow am.
I was brave though and went to the party alone--almost everyone there has their whole family involved so it was weird, but I had a blast. Everyone there is so nice and funny. And it's fun just being relaxed and all. The kids had watergun fights and water balloon fights, sack races, egg toss, and stuff like that. D9 missed out on such a fun time and a lot of her best friends were there. I'm going to work a benefit at the theatre Thursday and Friday night, so I'll get to see a lot of my friends then. I had so much fun at the party, I was one of the last ones to leave.
And now tomorrow, really need to start packing!!! But a new house will be fun. One of my theatre friends has offered to babysit anytime when she gets back from her summer trip so I can date Prince Charming. I told her I just have to meet Prince Charming first... Karen
love my dog, naej, I had heard wonderful things about Schnauzers and Labs and so I thought a mix sounded great, and after my Westies didn't want to replace them by getting another Westie. My dog is half black Lab though and I think many of those are hunting dogs from what I understand. He is very hyper and needs lots of exercise. We give him lots of walks and I take him jogging whenever I get the chance. I'd recommend black Labs only if you're very active. But he is a very sweet dog! I've been told golden Labs are much calmer, and esp. English labs though. Karen
Hi Karen I thought I had best reply to this on your thread! All Labs are hyper and are supposed to calm down around 2yrs but I never had one that did. Blacks are considered working dogs, usually gun dogs and tend to be smaller and leaner. We call the paler ones yellow, never golden that would be a retriever. Mine is a show breed and often used for Guide dogs for the blind b/c of the amazing temperament. My son owns a young black and she is a handful. They all need lots of mental stimulation tho, flyball or agility is something they love. So which bit is lab and which bit westie, ie coat-does it moult or do you clip? ears-floppy or pricked and size? As for the walking I used to do about a mile or so aday when he was able. Sorry to be so inquisitive but this has sparked my interest maybe you could recommend a site I could look it up on? Many thanks.
Ok, I went and met with the evaluator for D9 today. H took them last night (I don't think he's ever taken them on Sunday night). He seemed upset when I was there, I guess he didn't want me to go. I had these long questionnaires though that she had mailed me and just finished them up yesterday plus brought copies of the evaluations the kids had 5 years ago. Got to sit there for a few hours while D9 was tested. I said one or 2 things and H didn't respond. He texted while I almost fell asleep on the couch. Same old H.
The evaluator hadn't called me or left her address and wasn't in the packet when I looked for it last night, just a po box. I called her this am to get an address, and she said she had given all the info to your husband on Thursday. I told her he gets very busy (she also knows we're getting divorced) and asked her to tell me the info directly in future. Then I was going to take D9 the rest of the day as H has to go to work. He asked her well do you want to go stay with S15 or mom and she chose me. We were almost to the car and he called me back and said they had made plans for D9 to go swim with a friend from H's apt. tonight. So she decided she wanted to go with dad so she could do that. We also have to meet tonight for me to get S15 (he left him at the apt.) b/c I have to take him to the dentist tomorrow for cavities/fillings. He is going to take D9 tonight and take her to the testing which I said is fine b/c at the same time I have to be across town with S15.
I'm hoping I'm just being paranoid, but I'm starting to worry about the whole custody issue. You know his first paperwork he wanted primary custody of the kids. He was so busy with OW it was kind of moot, but I'm actually afraid right now that they broke up, and he's planning on custody again. What do y'all think of this stuff???
Yeah, I don't trust him, Karen. Does your lawyer know ALL that is going on with this evaluation, etc.? If not, I'd get her up to speed and have her involved as much as possible.
You know I don't trust him either but it may also seem that he has them a bit more now because of the play and how busy you have been. Now that you have to focus on moving, get that done and evaluate if he really is seeming to take them more or if it has just been the timing of everything.
I agree, keep your L informed.

OK, the L is up to date on the evals and all. Another thing that worries me is the evaluator and H were talking and were saying instead of doing the academic and cognitive testing like they are on D9, b/c S15 is more severely autistic that she may just do the academic testing and not the additional cognitive testing which would show his memory, processing, and attention issues (which they've discovered in previous testing but over 5 years ago). I started thinking I wouldn't want him to be able to use in court S15's delays in writing and math and try to infer it's b/c of homeschooling and not the learning disabilities and autism. I've knocked myself out hsing the kids and esp. S15 just doing lots of research into dsylexia and programs and using them and that kind of thing. I left a vm on the evaluator's voicemail to ask her to call me about that as I was going to ask her about doing only partial testing on S15. I was thinking when they first mentioned that, oh, it will save H money on the eval which is fine with me, but as I'm thinking more about it don't know if the partial testing would be a good idea.
