The adventure continues- part 4

Ok, last night didn't turn out as planned. Guy I was supposed to shoot pool w/ didn't get relieved at his Relay for Life event so we rescheduled for tonight. I went for a drive down to the beach in the vette. I saw a lot of motorcycles--must be thunder beach week and a lot of good looking women. On the way back home guess who called???--yep the wife. She says:

Hey, I was just feeling nostalgic. I said oh? Yeah, we're at the mall in Atlanta and I walked by store XYZ and thought about you. I said oh yeah, I remember that from when we were first stationed in Iceland. She said I know! I asked how D did in singing competition. She said really well. She said where are you at? I said, oh I'm out driving. She waited for me to elaborate as to where I was driving or why I was out driving but I did not. She said her head hurt and I asked if they were going to check into their hotel soon. She said they were. I said, well get some rest, I'm going to get off here. She said ok, have a good night, you too.

So, she called--again! I didn't cry, whine or beg. She pursued w/ the reminisning and thinking of me. I KNOW that she expected me to be at home--I have always been a homebody and NEVER go out(a big 180 for me). I didn't elaborate to her what or where I was going to so hopefully she is wondering what I'm up to. I didn't stay on the phone very long and tried to be as nice as I could possibly be.

So, my friend and I rescheduled for tonight, first some new upscale pool place that serves tasty cold beverages of your choice and then some new beach club hot spot. I'm going to go get some chemicals for the pool and relax today. We'll see if the wife calls again tonight.
Oh, later on I drove to her apartment. There were no lights on. Could mean nothing but made me feel a little better.
