It was a big decision Tom. There were many things I loved about this church and that kept me there but there comes a point where you recognize you are not going to adapt or ever feel particularly comfortable. I was raised in a tight ass white church where we wouldn't even consider praying out loud even if we were alone! The only person who ever prayed was the Pastor. I'm just not a "praise the Lord, Amen brother" kind of guy. I want to find a place where I feel I fit. I like the evangelical style of less formality and lots of music. I was raised in a church that was very liturgical and I went back to that denomination once when I was looking for a church and thought I'd lose my mind! I hated it. The church I'm considering is one I've been to for a couple of months the last time I had doubts about the fit at my church. It's got a good number of tight assed white people and other cultures mixed in. I remember telling the Pastor there in fun that when I heard him say "Amen" and no one in the congregation responded I felt right at home! Maybe one Sunday I'll just break out screaming "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" and see where it goes . Hey, and this church serves free coffee...what's not to love! \:\)
Price of petrol? We too call it gas, AT. I believe it's 87.5 cents per litre.
