I know this may come as a shocker to those of you following my sitch... but, I have officially been shushed! LOL
Apparently, the school administration sent a memo to the teachers, asking them to squash any talk among the students regarding the "prom date incident" and to start giving detentions if they don't comply. D17 forwarded me a copy of the memo (NOT asking how she got it!).
I went into the school and "kindly" asked them to NOT direct my children's conversations unless they are a) inappropriately worded (swearing), b) threatening to anyone/anything, c)disturbing a class, and/or d) in bad use of grammar! But, please don't LIMIT THEIR SUBJECTS OF CONVERSATION!
"Mrs. P, can you please wait over here (in the corner FAR away from other HUMANS!), quietly, and we'll see if the Principal has time to speak with you?" NOT! I called my friend on the phone, from my corner, and recanted the whole story out loud.
Funny, they never found the Principal! But, they did tell me D17 was "randomly" drug tested on Monday, and came out clean. JOY!
