Thanks Tom, I appreciate that! This week I made the decision to cut ties with my church. I've tried hard to adapt to a worship style which was not what I was raised on and to become part of a congregation which is almost completely made up of people from a different ethnic background. It was quite a challenge to feel as though I fit in. I often felt like a welcome outsider who would never really be an insider. That's no one's fault, just life I guess. Despite this there are many wonderful things about this church but I finally decided to make a hard decision and move on. I informed both the Pastors this week and yesterday I recieved a lovely parting email from one of them which read"...if ever you need anything call us and we'll be there for you. You're our friend for life!" It made me cry. Last night I made a contact with a friend I'd met at a different church which I had gone to previously and enjoyed. I'm going there this Sunday. I told her I was going to take my time and find a church that fits. We'll see. Btw GB, thanks to you for dropping by as well! Ohio is now well represented on my thread!
