I want to go to the movies Friday night--Hugh Jackman, Wolverine, YUMMY!

Oh yeah, me too! Love X-Men and Hugh. Sigh.

I will get out for me soon. I went out with my mom and ate banana splits for dinner last night!

Did we talk about this before? I did have a period in my life many years ago where I ate banana splits for dinner for two weeks straight. Why? Because I could!

I don't think we have talked banana splits before. The place we go also lets you bring your own bananas on Thursday for half price banana splits! We try to take the kids once a month during the summer.

I know you are focused on the kiddos right now but getting out for yourself is good for them also. They need to see that their mom values herself enough to do things that make her happy. They may not get that right away but they will when they are older.

That is why I have my church group and I do get out with my mom on occasion. My two closest friends are also homebodies devoted to their families and we spend time on the phone in the evenings. I do not like to party or hang out in clubs, but I do like to dance. Maybe I will see if my sister wants to go out next Thursday--we can go to the country bar we used to get thrown out of ! The added benefit is it used to drive my DH nuts when I went out with my sister, as her morals are in the toilet. Or, maybe I will just go shoot pool with my cuz who will be here this weekend for her wedding shower.

I am enjoying life the way I like to best and I guess that is the best way to do it.
