Had rehearsal last night and get a night off tonight. Woo hoo! Course I'm planning on packing up stuff tonight and working on that.
I had the job interview today. The guy interviewing me, actually he said it's not an interview, but a conversation, seemed a bit eccentric to me. He talked for almost an hour about his philosophy on training and education. I really, really tried to act interested. Then at the end he asked me to tell him about myself. WTH??? I gave it a try, but don't think I wowed him. I picked up on all the keywords he'd given me, and stressed I worked well independently, but with others on a team, that I've always believed in helping others in my office rather than just doing my own work and that kind of stuff. He said whoever gets the job would be doing 1/3 administrative stuff, 1/3 special projects, and 1/3 research and grant-writing and things like that. The actual job sounds interesting and something I would do well at. He said the winning candidate he'll call in about 10 days-end of next week for a final interview with the head of the dept. I don't have a good feeling about this one just like last one. Also, I wonder if he prefers working with guys? I met 2 of the other people that would be on my team he said and they were guys in their 30s about.
