The work is all complete. My dissertation is bound. My poster is in glorious A1 format. Now all there that remains is a small matter of a 5 minute presentation on Wednesday. I've done longer and to much bigger audiences so it should be ok but who knows!

Thanks Naej and BM. It's all over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The whole day went well which is a relief b/c I ended up project managing it (long story) so I could have ended up with egg on my face.
There were 16 of us altogether and we did brilliantly. I've only just come in b/c we all went out for a meal and a drink afterwards. Our two main lecturers came with us and they told us that they and the other lecturers felt we had exceeded all thier expectations (and those expections were high already!). What a buzz.

Now I just need to secure a place on the masters degree that I aiming for.

I'm happy this one is over b/c with it being the first ever cohort it has been fraught with problems however I am also a little apprehensive b/c this course started just after H left and has been one of my props. Given that every other week I now am completely by myself I'm not quite sure how i am going to fill my time.

The overriding feeling for now though is that i have a degreee (bar the graduation ceremony) and although it is 20 years later than I would have liked I am ecstatic.!

Oh Alison, Many many congratulations, who cares if it is a bit later than envisaged. I say more power to your elbow.
I am so proud of you, you are so brave and courageous, whatever comes next will seem like falling off a log.
I am sure you will fill your time somehow and a bit of downtime is not always a bad thing. I know you hate being alone but you know at times it is quite comforting,just takes some getting used to,I guess.
I am mostly quite happy with my own company but I get a bit fed up with it at times but not very often.
So I hope your kids are proud of you,I am sure your parents are.
