We may not know how are spouse will respond, but we just take one day at a time. I know this is very hard to do, but it is all we have right now. I struggle with my H and how one day I can get a great response and the next wont be so warm. Some times I even ask if I should give up and just let him go but something inside me tells me that I cant. No matter what. Please give it some time. Only time will tell us how things will go, but in the long run you can be a better person it. Just remeber that no matter how they treat us, treat them as you would want them to treat you. I am working on a step today from The Love Dare book and know that no matter what, I will feel better for doing it even if hes not.
