Hi Truelove, funny to read about the neighbour I had a similar thing shortly after I moved here, my neighbour who obviously knew I lived alone tried to claim I was responsible for a boundary fence(which was in a poor state of repair). I had already been told which were mine and it stated so on the deeds,so I told him I thought he was mistaken but I would check with my solicitor which I did and he told me neighbour was pulling a fast one!(not sure if you are familair with that expression) Anyway I told neighbour I had checked and it was indeed his responsibilty. I never heard another word about it, so I guess we just need to sort these things as they crop up and stand firm.
I agree it is times like this when you miss a male,but we manage and it gets easier. Take care.
