I am surprised that they gave you essentially eight months of warning before your job disappears in order to complete the order for the UK (if I read your post correctly). I had no essentially no warning in my case - in fact I had received a very positive year-end review a month before it happened.
Still - take advantage of anything they offer in terms of outplacement. The time will fly by faster than you think...
