I went to a jazz concert with my GF last night which we both enjoyed.

Today I received an e-mail from my last date. Somehow I had the feeling that he didn't want to see me again since he made a few comments about the upmarket places I like to go to. That explained the fact that I made him nervous. He wrote to me that it was nice to get to know me and that he found we had a nice and funny time, but that he thinks I am a bit too upmarket for him and my lifestyle is too different from his. Therefore there was no spark from his side.

I heard that before! However, he is right. I noticed from the conversation that he was not able to do the things I would like to do.

It was strange though. Before we met he wrote that he is a newbie in dating and that I have to promise him not to run away after 5 minutes. So I wrote back that I give him a tip which is not to have any expectations and he wouldn't be disappointed.

I am only a bit disappointed because he is good looking, slim, funny and just my type. But I knew from the beginning that I would like somebody who can live up to my expectations. Therefore, I already answered another advert which said "Everything or Nothing". That is more like me – LOL!

However, I would like to ask my last date if he would be interested in just being friends. I would like to go to live music events etc. with somebody and he would be just the right person. But I assume he won't agree to it since men hardly every want to be just friends. But I think I will try. The "hiker" doesn't seem to expect anything else either. Or is he still living in hope???

I am already curious to find out how the dancing will turn out tonight.

I wish everybody a lovely week-end.
