Why is it that the United States does not have one law for all Americans. I thought you were United. Seems very buearocratic to me. Money wasting.
It is a heirarchy of laws. The US Constitution is the highest and states can create their own laws as long as they dont conflict with the Constitution. Likewise, city governments can make their own laws as long as they dont conflict with state and federal laws.
It does indeed provide many jobs for politicians and bureaucrats at all levels of government. The immoral and incompetent have families and need to work (or steal) too.
