Happy belated birthday! This is going to be your year.

As for your X and kids, I have to wonder whether he'll be so attentive/accomodating once the financials are sorted out.

How did you hear about the trip to the playground? Did your younger daughter tell you?

Thank you for all the birthday wishes.

My day got better as it went along

D18 and D13 had bought a present between them and as D13 is staying with H this week I had to wait for it until they were both there. D13 didn't turn up until mid afternoon as she had been shopping with S16 to buy his present for me. Ironically when she arrived D18 had popped out so I had to wait a little longer \:\(

My parents came for the day and it was lovely to see them. I had lots of cards and constant TMs from well wishes. I can't remember the last time I was that popular I also got lots of flowers so today my house smells lovely (although they are setting my hay fever off but hey I can handle that for a few days).

In the evening the 6 of us went to a local pub for a meal. It was very pleasant.

H did try to ruin my day but I didn't fall for his games. D13 and S16 asked him to pick them up from my house. I'd had a drink to celebrate my birthday so couldn't take them back myself. My parents had gone home and D18 had gone back to uni as she goes on holiday with BF tomorrow. He said he would come for them as long as it was before 10pm as after then he would be in bed! This was about 9.30pm so they asked him to come immediately for them. For the last 6 months or so whenever he has picked up D13 he has just sat in his car and phoned her on her mobile to tell her that he has arrived. Not yesterday, he brazenly rang the doorbell. Thankfully I wasn't expecting anyone else at that time of night so S16 answered it and I remained in my lounge. I'm looking after D18s hamster whilst she is only holiday and S16 wanted to show it to H as he has been wanting him to buy him one for a while. Hs excuse not to do this has been that his flat is too small to accomodate one but S16 let slip that they are moving into bigger, rented accomodation in the next couple of weeks so H no longer has that excuse. He did however manage to side step renewed requests when S16 was showing off D18s pet. This all took place in my hall way. I ignored it all and thankfully when the kids went they came into the lounge to say goodbye. There was no way I was going to allow H to introduce bad feeling on my birthday.

Just one more week of uni work to go. Whoopee. I have to print out 3 copies of my project report and I can't believe how long it's taking. Still I am proof reading every page one last time (all 50 odd of them) and I've come across some formatting issues that I hadn't previously thought about (or knew how to do but I do now!).

Could do with the rest of the week off from work but that isn't going to happen.
