We have a family tradition that was started years ago--like great grandparents or before. At noon, all the TVs and radios are turned off and there is no talking in the house above a whisper and only if it is essential. the kids will be in their rooms with books and quiet toys. this continues until three in remembrance of the time Our Savior spent on the Cross to redeem us from our sins. I have a houseful of guests, some non-believers, so I will have a hard time enforcing all of it, but the kids were already informed that they will adhere as much as possible to this.
I am in prayer and reflection on the wonder of our Lord and his many sacrifices for us. I will re-read the Gospels and their telling of Our Lord's death this afternoon while waiting in anticipation of the celebration of His Glorious resurrection on Sunday.
Peace and love to you and your family this Holy weekend.
